The cables are laid, the DockingStation is installed, and the EV charger is powered on?
The final step is a charging test to ensure your customer can charge without issues in the future. Read here how you, as an installer, can perform the charging test in just a few minutes.
Quick Charging Test in Offline Mode
To start a charging session in seconds without an internet connection or a Click2Charge account, you need to disable the connection to the OCPP server. Follow these steps:
Hold the Master Card (with the black DaheimLaden logo) to the RFID card reader on the charging station until it beeps 5 times in total. The display will show the message “App Mode Deactivated.”
Connect the charging cable to a vehicle or your test device.
Briefly hold the Master Card to the RFID card reader again to start a charging session.
Once you’ve confirmed that the installation is error-free and charging works smoothly, end the charging session by holding the Master Card to the reader again.
Disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle or test device.
Hold the Master Card to the card reader again and wait for the 5 signal tones. The display will show the message “App Mode Activated.”
The charging test is now successfully completed, and your customer can start using their DaheimLaden EV charger once they connect the station to the internet and set up the Click2Charge app. Provide your customer with the red and blue instruction manuals found in the DaheimLaden EV charger box.
