How to Start Charging with Your DaheimLaden EV Charger

Your DaheimLaden EV charger is installed, your vehicle is ready, and you want to start charging? Learn here how to initiate charging sessions.
DaheimLaden with Internet Connection
If your DaheimLaden EV charger is connected to the internet, you’ve set up the Click2Charge app, and the charging station is successfully linked, you can start charging sessions after plugging in the charging cable as follows:
With the Online Card (after adding it to the wallet in your Click2Charge app): Hold the card to the RFID card reader. The charging session starts after a signal tone.
In the App: Go to the “Charging Stations” tab in the bottom bar. Your DaheimLaden EV charger will be displayed; press the black “Start a Charging Session” button. You can then adjust settings for your charging session. With SmartCharge, you can take advantage of dynamic electricity tariffs, Schedule lets you set the charging time, or you can start charging immediately. You can also choose whether to charge a specific amount of electricity or continuously. If you have a PV system connected to the app, you can activate SolarCharge to charge exclusively with solar power.
Plug & Charge: The charging session starts automatically after plugging in the charging cable if you’ve enabled the “Immediate Charging” rule in the charging station’s settings.
DaheimLaden without Internet Connection
Want to use your DaheimLaden EV charger without the app or an internet connection? First, deactivate the app mode. Then, you can start charging sessions after connecting the vehicle to the charging cable as follows:
With the Master Card: This is included in the delivery and pre-configured for the charging station. Simply hold it to the RFID card reader; the charging session starts after a signal tone.
Plug & Charge: The charging session starts immediately after plugging the charging cable into the vehicle.
Button & Charge: Press the silver button on the side of the charger, and the charging session starts.
You can specify which of the above authentication methods are enabled. This can be configured via your DaheimLaden EV charger’s configuration website, accessible through its hotspot. For the Touch PRO, you can also select options under “Charging Mode” in the display settings. Learn how to access the configuration website in our manual under “6.2.
