To use all features of our Click2Charge EV charger app, you need to connect your DaheimLader EV charger to the internet. Once your DaheimLader is online, you can control charging sessions via the app, set up PV charging, manage users, download charging reports, and much more.
All DaheimLader EV chargers can be integrated into your network via LAN cable or Wi-Fi. With the DaheimLader Touch PRO 4G/LTE and the DaheimLader Business PRO, you also have the option to connect your EV charger to the mobile network using a SIM card.
If you intentionally want to operate your EV charger without an internet connection, that is also possible—there is a dedicated offline mode for this. You can find out how to activate it here.
Requirements for the Wi-Fi connection
To ensure the connection works reliably, the Wi-Fi signal at the installation location should be strong enough. If the signal is too weak, you can improve it, for example, by using a Wi-Fi repeater.
Setting up Wi-Fi on the EV charger
Setting up Wi-Fi is simple and intuitive via the touch display of your EV charger. You can find the instructions in your DaheimLader package on the blue instruction sheet and here:
How it works
Open the settings via the gear icon in the top right corner of the display of your EV charger.
If you are opening the settings for the first time, enter the initial PIN from the QR code sticker located on the protective film of your EV charger. If you have already set your own PIN, enter that instead.
Tap Log in.
When logging in for the first time, you will be prompted to change your PIN – it must contain at least 6 characters.
Navigate to the Wi-Fi menu.
Tap Scan.
Wait about 30 seconds until the available networks are displayed.
Select your network from the drop-down menu.
Enter your Wi-Fi password in the corresponding field.
Tap Save.
After a few minutes, your EV charger will be connected to Wi-Fi. Next, you can integrate it into your Click2Charge account.
Alternative: Connection via LAN
If you prefer to use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi, simply connect a LAN cable to the DockingStation.
The EV charger will then be directly integrated into your home network—no further setup required.
